Starting and running a successful podcast

Researching podcasting this week has led me to conclude that there is no one way to create and run a successful podcast.

Finding your own voice is of vital importance. And the length of episode varies widely from the long Joe Rogan podcasts to much shorter ones which can be successful in their own way.

My episodes in the Irish Law and Small Business Podcast average between 6 and 10 minutes, I would estimate. Yet the podcast is proving popular and growing nicely.

I may, in the future, experiment with long form episodes but for now what I am doing is perfectly acceptable and should lead to the continued growth of the podcast.

The most important thing I have learned is to have a unique voice and don’t try to copy others.
