I am heading for 30,000 YouTube subscribers to my YouTube channel.
And one of the things that gives me great satisfaction about this milestone is that I have done it, to a large extent, my way.
By this I mean the variety of subject matter I have covered on my channel to date does not conform to the conventional wisdom as to how to satisfy the algorithm and grow a channel.
Yet despite this diversity and making videos about stuff that interests me, in addition to law and business, the channel is still growing.
There is a significant number of videos which focus on the two subject areas-law and business-which I intended specialising in at the outset.
But I also have videos about GAA, horse racing, books, cycling, Vespa scooter vlogs, politics, sourdough bread, and other varied topics.
When you make videos about stuff you like and are interested in, it isn’t really work, is it?
