Getting satisfaction from making videos

I first started making videos to try to generate leads for my solicitor’s practice and grow my client base and business.

I have made a huge number of videos over the last 10 years or so. The vast majority are about law or business in Ireland. And they have been spectacularly effective in helping me grow my solicitor’s practice and build my brand.

But over time I have also developed an interest in film and video as a form of creative expression. And I really enjoy making videos now.

I have spent a lot of time studying the top YouTube photography/video channels and have learnt a lot. I have no ambitious pretensions to make videos that would even approach the level of a top videographer or photographer or YouTuber.

But I get a kick out of trying to make my videos a little bit better over time. Just small improvements, with a greater understanding of story, vlogging, what works, what to avoid, and so on.

So, out of a business need has grown this interest in and satisfaction from making videos. I’m looking forward to continuing the journey.

My YouTube channel is here if you want to take a look.
