It is manifestly obvious to me that Shorts videos on YouTube perform exceedingly well.
By comparison with the time and effort that needs to go into a long form video YouTube shorts provide a great strategy for growing a brand online quickly.
Even old, average short videos of mine perform disproportionately well versus my regular, long form video. When I say perform well, I refer to the number of views they are achieving.
This, I presume, is because Google/YouTube want to compete well with TikTok and Instagram Reels and acknowledge the popularity of short form video online.
This fact forces me to give some thought about my future YouTube strategy and brand building online, especially on YouTube but also on the other channels such as Instagram and TikTok.
