I check in on Spotify every morning to see the latest analytics for my podcast, the Irish Law and Small Business Podcast.
Spotify had created a “Wrapped for Podcasters” short video containing some statistics about the performance of my podcast in 2023.
They were pleasantly surprising and contained facts which I never would have thought about when publishing my podcast episodes on a weekly or twice weekly basis.
For example, a large number of people have shared my podcast episodes on WhatsApp and Instagram. I have quite a few listeners in Argentina and Australia.
And I am the top podcast for over 50 people and in the top 5 and top 10 podcast for many others.
It also gave analytics about my most downloaded and shared podcast.
The bottom line is that a great deal of unexpected benefits arise when you create something and publish it, whether it is a podcast episode or a video on a YouTube channel or a blog post.
Benefits you would never have contemplated.
I’m looking forward to further growth in 2024.
