We visited the towns of Amalfi and Positano on the Amalfi Coast yesterday.
These are unique, pretty towns/villages which are almost carved out of the limestone cliffs of the Amalfi Coast. Extremely popular destinations in high season and accessed by a road that was built at a time that never envisaged the traffic it now has to carry.
Both places are incredibly attractive but apart from the stunning basilica/cathedral in Amalfi you will not see much more than small streets populated by small shops which appear to meld into one after a while.
Probably an hour in each place will allow you see most of what there is to see, to be honest. But you will get some beautiful picture postcard snaps for your memories or Instagram, whichever is more important to you.
