I am moving office soon for the first time in over 10 years. And I made a good decision at the outset, one I would not have been able to make 10 or 20 or 30 years ago.
I put one of the girls in the office in charge of the move project. And I am delighted I did.
She is doing a great job and the confidence and self-respect and pride she has gained from the responsibility is evident.
I would not have been able to make this decision a few years ago. I would have been all over the project myself, micromanaging, worrying.
There are a few advantages to getting older. One of them is occasional flashes of wisdom and making better decisions.
