I have never seen myself as ‘arty’ or ‘creative’.
That was other people. Not me.
But I have always had an urge to write. And I have always loved words, books, reading.
In the last few years, as a consequence of my marketing work in building my solicitor’s practice, I have been engaged in activities that are seen as creative: writing, making videos, taking photographs.
And I must admit that I have thoroughly enjoyed the processes and skills involved in all those activities.
I came across a video on YouTube over the weekend that piqued my interest. It was about drawing-how to draw and why you should.
Now I am tempted to give it a go. And maybe I have to admit that I am one of those people: the arty, creative types.
I am not claiming any great skill or talent. Not by a long way.
But do I enjoy writing and making videos and taking photos? Yes, absolutely.
And will I enjoy drawing? Who knows? I have no idea if I will even commit to it and give it a chance.
But the guy on the video says we are all creative. If we only get out of our own way.
Maybe he has a point..
