Enoch Burke has been jailed again by the High Court for repeated breach of a court order made in August 2022 ordering him to stay away from Wilson’s Hospital School.
Two things jumped out at me from the High Court hearing held late yesterday evening:
- Enoch Burke’s hope to be reinstated in the job from which he has been dismissed. This strikes me as delusional given the fracture in the relationship between employer and employee.
- Enoch Burke’s assertion in court that the High Court had no moral or legal authority to make the order which it made prohibiting him from trespassing on the school premises. This is a remarkable assertion if you accept the rule of law in a civilized society which has a constitution and legislature.
