A useful tool to draw out small minds

I posted a short video on TikTok a few days ago and in it I was wearing a particularly bright, unusual tie.

I have been surprised by the number of comments about the tie, some of which are complimentary but many of which contain a hidden criticism. The criticism is “how dare you wear such a tie?”

One guy has even gone so far as to ask me what is the story behind the tie, as if there must be some story or statement I am trying to make.

That was not what I set out to do when choosing this tie initially.

But now I see it as a useful tool to illustrate just how small some minds actually are.
