I’ve been out and about pretty much every day on my Vespa scooter since it was delivered.
I have been mainly travelling the back roads around my home.
I have never ridden a scooter or motorbike before, so I thought it sensible to spend some time getting used to riding a scooter.
I am thoroughly enjoying it and improving my skills and confidence with each short trip.
One thing I have noticed is that you have a greater awareness for what is going on around you on the various little roads from the seat of a scooter as opposed to driving in a car.
New build houses, old derelict houses/cottages, boreens that I never knew existed and which would be easy to miss-all become noticeable as you travel by scooter or motorbike.
I am looking forward to getting out more when the weather improves with the onset of spring and summer.
And I may even commute to work occasionally when the days get long and bright.
