I’ve never been a gardening man but I am beginning to see the attraction.
It is the 14th May 2022, the weather is threatening to be warm and dry for today and tomorrow at least, and the allure of pottering around outside in the stunning beauty of nature and attempting to (finally) turn my ‘lawn’ into a lawn is growing.
When I look out the window of my office, from where I write this blog post, I see the rays of the sun hitting the plants and trees and it is a wonderful sight, a riot of green and yellow.
Our lawn is big enough but is full of moss and weeds. Last week I bought some stuff to kill the moss and today and tomorrow, after raking the dead moss out, I am going to reseed the whole place.
I am hoping it will work. That is, we will finally have a lawn full of grass you normally associate with lawns, not the scutch grass and meadow grass and weeds that have populated our lawn for years.
I have done a little bit of research online, by watching some Youtube videos, and have an idea of what I need to do. I have no tools, however, so will have to do some improvising and do things the hard way.
But I am looking forward to the challenge. And the attraction of gardening? I can see it now. Here goes.
