I am heading to Dublin this evening after work to attend a school reunion.
My class, the class who did the leaving cert in 1980, have not met for the last 43 years. So this will be interesting.
I am looking forward to it but there is a certain element of nervousness about the prospect. Nevertheless, it should be a good evening and will be interesting to catch up with classmates who went to St. Finian’s College, Mullingar from 1975 to 1980.
I am sure there will be a strange combination of feelings and memories for many who will attend as long forgotten faces are bound to trigger a wide range of memories.
I was a boarder in the school from the age of 12 to 17, and most pupils were boarders with a few day boys in each year. Yes, it was a boys only school.
