I’m preparing a submission for the Residential Tenancies Board (RTB) at the moment.
It is such a waste of time and resources. The tenant should be long gone from the property.
He was served with a notice pointing out that he was in breach of the tenancy by reason of his failure to pay rent for the best part of a year.
He was served with a notice terminating the tenancy and giving him notice of the day he was to move out.
But he refused to move out and says he will do so when the local authority give him a house.
So, my client has to go back to the RTB and seek an order getting him to quit the premises. If he does not quit on foot of that order then my client must go to the District Court for an order.
And on it goes.
