When you build a crowd online, no matter the size, there will always be others who want to tap into and exploit you and your crowd.
This happens me from time to time with individuals contacting me with a view to debating with me about some topic or other or being involved in a podcast.
And it is always immediately recognisable that they want to tap into my crowd, my tribe, rather than genuinely debate. They seek to exploit and mine the tribe that I have built in whatever platform they are looking to access.
And I always ignore them. “Build your own crowd” is my view. Don’t go trying to exploit my work with an easy, cheap stunt.
