A power of attorney must be in writing and must be executed as a deed.
A certified copy is sufficient evidence of the power granted in the attorney.
Táilte Eireann (formerly Land Registry) will require a statement from a legal practitioner that the power granted in the power of attorney was not revoked by the time of execution of any transfer or deed.
This is set out in Legal Office Notice No 3 of 2010-Táilte Eireann.
