It’s hard to believe that Trump, the convicted con man, is still ahead in the national polls by 1 percentage point.
The New York Times report this stark and worrying fact one day before Trump and Harris debate for the first, and perhaps only, time.
It is incredible that Trump is still ahead, if this poll is correct, given the apparent momentum behind the Harris/Walz ticket since the Democratic convention a few weeks ago.
And given Trump’s campaign, his rambling, incoherent speeches, and the backing of Republican grandees such as Dick and Liz Cheney for Kamilla Harris.
It is a worrying time for the world.
