I review quite a lot of legal packs for online auctions on sites like Bid X1 and others.
I provide this service for would be buyers/bidders who are interested in a property for sale in an online auction.
I frequently come across letters and other legal papers threatening legal proceedings against the receiver and/or Bid X1.
Sometimes this is a last throw of the dice by an unhappy, dispossessed borrower and are simply tactical bluffs to scupper the auction and the sale of the property.
Occasionally, however, they are not bluffs. There may well be legal proceedings in being and they will be pursued through the courts.
The problem before the auction is it is difficult to advise a client as to how serious or otherwise such threats will prove to be.
