The surprising reach of video

I had a meeting last week with an elderly gentleman who wanted to make a couple of small changes in his will.

I had taken his instructions and one of the girls was just doing the necessary and printing it off for signing.

“I see you bought a property in Cork”, he said.

This stunned me because the only way he could have known this was from watching a video I had made about it. He saw the video on Facebook or YouTube.

I was pleasantly surprised that I could reach a person of this generation with a video published online, regardless of whether he came across it on YouTube or Facebook.

You usually associate social media marketing with reaching “the young crowd”.

Just goes to show: make it and publish and you will be pleasantly surprised as to who you reach.
