The only thing I do without distraction

I put my Vespa scooter up for sale some time ago but it didn’t sell. And I am glad about that.

I had an offer or two but I decided not to accept. In fact, I had an offer of the full asking price but I dragged my heels and ultimately declined the offer.

When push came to shove, I figured I would regret selling it. And I am satisfied now that I made the right decision.

I was out on it at the weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the spin. I also incorporated some footage taken from the Vespa as I drove around the parish into my video about the Conor McGregor trial.

The mental benefit of doing something that is completely distraction free and requires me to be always in the here and now and requires my total focus is of tremendous value.

I was just thinking yesterday as I came back from Trim that it is the only thing I do without listening to a podcast or audiobook or radio or have some other distraction. It is just me, the countryside, the sound of the engine and my own thoughts.

There is a lot to be gained from this, I believe.
