The Burkes’ strategy-how it’s going so far

It is perplexing how the Burkes of Castlebar apparently think shouting and screeching at decision makers-in Ireland or the United States-could be an effective strategy.

And if they believe it is an effective strategy, then the outcome they seek is not what you might expect.

Because screeching and shouting over High Court judges, the Attorney General, attendees at the gala dinner in Washington is not going to move hearts and minds (unless in the wrong direction).

However, perhaps the Burkes’ goal is not the one you might imagine but something else-for example publicity.

After three years of screeching and bleating and undignified time spent on the pavement having been thrown out of one venue or another it might be time for a change of strategy.

Although let’s face it: it is far too late now for the Burkes to salvage anything from the mess they have created. And the consequences will be felt by them for years to come.

P.S. When weighing up the strategy start with a) criminal prosecutions and b) careers ‘stalled’.
