It may be a coincidence, or a consequence of a YouTube video I have made about the topic, but I have an increased number of cases involving wills and disappointed beneficiaries.
I made a video about rows in families about land in Ireland and the video looks at the serious disputes resulting in violence or death in land related disputes.
Many of these disputes arise when the disputing parties are alive, but disputes often arise when landowners pass away and the land is passed on in a way that leaves disappointment, bitterness and anger.
The worst of human nature can often be on display in such circumstances, and it can be quite ugly to watch.
There is no simple solution as the testator is entitled to do what she/he wants with her/his property.
And human nature is human nature and stripped bare when a loved one has passed away.
But when the distribution of the deceased’s estate is not along expected lines it can turn ugly and cut up rough, unfortunately.
