I made a video yesterday evening as I peeled potatoes for the dinner.
And it elicited a tremendous response, especially about the everyday activity I was engaged in as I made the video.
Commenters asked what kind of potatoes they were, advised me to buy a potato peeler as it would be quicker, how I was going to cook them, and a guy in Australia telling me I had made him homesick.
It proves once again the power of the ordinary, everyday, banal in making videos. People like to see the so called expert or professional being a human being.
And if that is something as mundane as peeling potatoes, so much the better.
