Dubrovnik is undoubtedly pretty on first arrival. Physically extremely attractive, the old town is easily negotiable and fully pedestrianised.
After a few days, however, you begin to think about a Game of Thrones film set, about Airbnb, and overpriced, expensive restaurants.
Two or three days is enough for us, anyway.
The history of the area is fascinating, and the weather is stunning. But after a few days I think I would find it hard to enjoy much longer.
Perhaps if we were into water sports or kayaking or swimming in the sea there would be no problem spending a wonderful week or longer.
But my two cents’ worth? Two or three days is enough for us but delighted we came.
Shame about the restaurant prices and prices generally when faced with a tourist.
