We had our work Christmas outing last night in the Hamlet Court Hotel, Johnstownbridge.
It was a “party night” affair with food, a live band and a guy playing ‘disco’ music afterwards.
I noticed, once the music started, a girl on the far side of the dance floor.
Because the minute the music started, she kicked off her shoes and headed straight for the dancefloor. And she could dance.
Not only could she dance, but she was also in a world of her own when dancing. She clearly loved dancing and simply dancing for the sake of dancing.
Some of the time one of her work colleagues joined her; other times she danced on her own.
She was mesmerizing and I found it hard to take my eyes off her, such was her love for and escape in the dancing.
If you are lucky enough to do something with the same love and passion as this dancer, do it often.
