Clarity and closure-not to be undervalued

Much of the value of what I do when I meet people in consultations is give them clarity and closure.

This week I have had three consultations in which I had to advise the client that they had no case or a case that was so weak that it was not worth pursuing.

Occasionally, the recipient of such bad news is unhappy and dissatisfied and angry.

The three individuals I spoke to this week, however, took it well and indicated that they were happy to get clarity and closure on their issue.

Even though they had no case they were happy that they were not left with a sense of regret in the future about not doing anything about the problem years hence.

There is a lot to be said for closure, and drawing a line under an issue, question or problem.
