Choose your pain.
You have a choice as to what type of pain you choose, but you do have a choice. And you must choose, even if you don’t recognise that you are making a choice every day.
The choice is between doing now the difficult, dirty, disciplined, demanding work that matters, the work that requires self-discipline, commitment, and guts.
Or the pain of looking back in years to come and experiencing the pain of regret. The regret of what you might have achieved, what you might have become, what you may have contributed.
All of us has this choice, and the easy way, the path of least resistance, the way of indolence and self-indulgence, is alluring. Sometimes it seems like a no-brainer.
Which pain do you choose?
