The TikTok opportunity

It is clear to me as someone who frequently publishes videos on all the platforms that there is a significant difference between TikTok and YouTube in terms of what type of video performs best.

The subject matter is the most important thing. But all else being equal, long form performs best on YouTube and short form, vertical performs much better on TikTok.

That’s why it makes sense, and there is a great opportunity, to make a series of short vertical videos specifically for TikTok (and Instagram) from some of my longer videos on YouTube.

For example, any listicle type video-for example 10 tips for successful negotiations-are prime targets for making 10 short, vertical videos with one tip per video for TikTok and Instagram.

And making them should be easy as the content is already there in the longer video.

This is a reminder to myself to grab the opportunity and grow my TikTok following to 100,000 followers.
