A receiver was appointed yesterday in the High Court to collect Enoch Burke’s future salary, on application by the Attorney General. A conditional garnishee order was also granted in respect of Burke’s bank account, into which the salary is paid.
This appointment is the consequence of a litany of catastrophic decisions the Burkes have made in this affair since it first kicked off.
As sure as day follows night it was bound to come to something like this.
For the life of me I simply do not understand the decisions that the Burkes have taken over the last 3 years or thereabouts.
Perhaps they have a different plan, a different outcome in mind.
But for most reasonable observers with any understanding of employment law, this outcome, or something equally catastrophic for Burke, was inevitable.
