I expected storm Éowyn to cause havoc, as forecast by Met Eireann, but was hoping that there would be power in Enfield and I could get a bit of work done.
So I made a dangerous trek to my office in Enfield despite trees being down everywhere to discover Enfield had no power either.
So I had a difficult journey home due to the wind, darkness and trees down everywhere around our parish in Broadford, Co. Kildare.
But I made the best of it by by making a video and documenting the travails of the morning.
I always try to extract something positive or some lesson from whatever situation I find myself in and would recommend it.
Now, Ihave a day in the life type video-albeit rough and grainy-that I never expected to make.
I’m glad I did, even though the quality is not great.
