I listen to a lot of audiobooks which I download from Audible, where I have a membership.
Not infrequently, however, I have nothing to listen to once I finish one book and await my shiny new credit to drop.
Then, I have nothing to listen to save for podcasts as a replacement. (I listen to music, of course, but usually when I am reading or doing the dishes).
I have started listening to “Have you heard George’s podcast?”, a BBC podcast by George the Poet.
It is described as “a fresh take on inner city life through a mix of storytelling, music and fiction”.
I don’t know if I will like it or not but I do like the opportunity to give it a try for free and to take a look into a world I know little or nothing about.
The most recent book I listened to was John Steinbeck’s “The Wayward Bus”, a book set in California in 1947.
Some contrast.
I enjoy being curious.
