Commuter traffic at 5:40 am

As I drove over the bridge at Broadford this morning on my way to work, the one that spans the M4 to Dublin, I noticed that the traffic was bumper to bumper in a long line of red lights.

It was the type of traffic I would only have seen years ago when there was a big match in Croke Park, maybe an All-Ireland hurling or football final.

Yet when I glanced at the clock in my car it told me it was 5:40 am.

Some commuter traffic.

Some change on a road in a matter of a couple of decades.
