The pointed, intentional, out of control humiliation of the President of Ukraine by a convicted felon, the President of the United States, was gut wrenching to watch yesterday. And then the clown had the class to say it would “make good television”.
In addition to the unseemly sight of a convicted felon dumping on a brave leader fighting for the continued existence of his country’s sovereignty you could only draw only one conclusion about Trump’s ability as a negotiator and/or dealmaker.
He has claimed to be a dealmaker and able to bring peace within a few days of getting into the Oval office.
Yet his idea of a deal is for Ukraine to surrender and for the rest of us to simply appease Putin in Russia.
That is not a deal, it is an abject, humiliating surrender.
If anyone had any doubts about Trump’s claim to be a great deal maker I trust their mind is clear as a bell now.
Imagine losing your temper in your own venue-the White House- in front of favourable press and with the world looking on, and claiming to be a good negotiator.
The guy wouldn’t talk a dog down off a meat wagon.
