I came across a tweet this morning on “X” about an anti-migrant/fascist protest organised yesterday for the GPO in Dublin.
The turnout was paltry-embarrassingly small.
The tweeter opined that hatred will only get you so far.
I hope so, I sincerely hope so.
There is another group of individuals who have been in the news regularly over the last few years.
And my firm belief is they, too, are motivated by hatred. Hatred for gay people, hatred for transgender individuals.
They claim to be motivated by something else but it is clear in their more recent pronouncements that hatred is at the core of their actions.
But hatred will only get you so far.
As they are painfully finding out.
