We did the Stairway to Heaven walk yesterday in the Cuilcagh Mountain.
The walk starts in Fermanagh and probably ends up in Cavan at the end of the boardwalk trail.
It was a pleasant experience, not overly difficult by comparison with Croagh Patrick, for example. But demanding enough, nevertheless.
The great thing about it is most of it involves walking on a man-made wooden boardwalk which ensures the underfoot conditions are safe and you can easily do the walk in a pair of runners.
It starts out with only a gradual incline but then gets steeper culminating in a steep walk up a wooden stair (with handrails) for the last ascent to the summit.
Well worth a visit.
